Practice Description
You may be divorcing and questioning whether you’re going to make it through the pain, uncertainty, and chaos. As a therapist, I can guide you through the million and a half decisions to arrive at a calmer and healthier future. As a co-parent coach, I can help co-parents as they re-create their family and help their children not only adjust to change, but be emotionally and socially thriving in their two-home family. I’ve been described as warm and a good listener while also actively engaged in sharing important information and coping skills. In my practice, I see individual therapy clients and co-parent coaching clients in my office in Kirkland WA or on video. I am also available to coach on collaborative divorce cases in King and Pierce Counties.
Biography
I have over two decades of experience as a clinical social worker with individuals and families impacted by chronic illness, terminal illness, grief from loss of family members and the grief of losing the life they once had. I often worked as a member of a team of medical professionals helping patients and families through catastrophic illness. In my private practice as a therapist, I have supported clients through a variety of life changes and losses, such as miscarriage, divorce, loss of career and work identity, and role changes in the family. Witnessing my parents’ divorce (which was less than ideal) when I was young informs my understanding of what works and does not work for children as families reconfigure. When I learned about collaborative divorce coaching, I was excited by the opportunity to use my years of experience as a clinical social worker, therapist, and team member in another way, in vitally important work with families.
