April focuses on amicable/collaborative family law: divorce, parentage, and adult and minor guardianships. In addition to representing clients in full team Collaborative matters, April offers mediation support and limited scope representation (sometimes called “unbundled services”) on an hourly basis for clients needing a more limited scope of legal help.
Biography
April is an experienced attorney who began practicing family law in 2023, after a 12-year career in state government and a few years at home with her two young children. April came to family law after learning about the world of Collaborative practice. As someone with a personal divorce story and a childhood impacted by divorce, April is passionate about helping clients find ways through the process respectfully and holistically, rather than as adversaries, whenever possible.
April and her family live in North Seattle. Their family enjoys many kinds of creative pursuits, staying active, getting outside, and participating in social justice and church activities.
