Jena Maxwell is an experienced family law attorney, collaborative practitioner and litigator offering tailored process options for her clients. After graduating from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law School in 2009, she maintained a solo office where she practiced law, volunteered at the First Responder Will Clinic and provided pro bono services through the KCBA Family Law Mentorship Program. She also volunteers much of her free time to the collaborative community where she has a history of involvement in several organizations and practice groups.
Jena has a passion for collaborative law and the benefits it can bring to her clients, community and the State of Washington. She currently serves on the Executive Board and is Co-Chair of the Practice Group Committee of the statewide organization, Collaborative Professionals of Washington. Her current work with CPW involves providing support, resources and education for professionals in this field, including outreach and education to residents of Washington State regarding this process option. Her goal is to increase public awareness and knowledge regarding collaborative law as an option for legal dispute resolution, and to increase support, education and congruency in the collaborative practice in Washington State.
Jena Maxwell has extensive trial, courtroom, negotiation, and collaborative experience. Her efforts focus on reaching family focused customized solutions for families. She works diligently and in good faith towards out of court settlements whenever possible. However, in those high conflict matters where settlement is simply unavailable or not in her client’s best interest, she will strongly advocate for her client in all phases of litigation. She understands how difficult and emotional family cases can be. As such, she is committed to working closely with her clients to ensure that she assertively, but compassionately, represents their best interests. In hiring Jena to represent you in your family law matter, you can expect support, honest communication, guidance in choosing the best process option, to have a clear understanding of what is involved with the process option you choose, a well thought out strategy, and skilled diligence in handling your case.
In her free time, Jena Maxwell spends time with family and friends including her two young nephews. She enjoys being active: salsa dancing, roller skating, and hiking with her dog. She enjoys traveling, cooking and doing home projects with her husband. She also appreciates relaxing and reading, especially by a fire.
